When we say we're out and about in our community, we mean it. Our community is the reason we exist, and we want you to be part of the success of Matthew's Child. To make this easier, we regularly offer community events so that we can directly involve you in making a difference, and directly serve you where you need it most.
We always have new things on the horizon, but we have a few regular, recurring events that are worth mentioning.
Parents' Night Out
On a monthly basis, we provide a "Parents' Night Out" to foster parents where we offer a safe, fun place for your little ones to hang out while you enjoy some adult time. Our volunteers are other foster parents and social workers, and are familiar with the special needs that come with most foster children. Additionally, we try to make your night out a little more affordable by providing a date package with gift cards, movie tickets and more. It's the least we can do to say thank you for being a foster parent.
Matthew's Child Open House
About once every 3 months or so, we open our doors to the community to allow you to meet us, ask us questions, enjoy some wine and hors d'oeuvres and basically socialise with people like you who truly care about helping children in need.
Matthew's Child is a non-profit, and we exist solely because of the generousity of others. As such, we try to offer fun, social ways to for you to make a difference through our organization. We're always trying new ways to get people just like you involved—whether it's through our Christmas Tree Prayer program, the Donut Run 5K or any of our other awesome fundraisers.
